Among today's birthdays we have that of fight arranger John Greenwood, who appeared in The Mind Robber as D'Artagnan and, hidden within a suit of armour, Sir Lancelot. He turns 93.
He shares his birthday with Steven Berkoff, who played the Shakri in The Power of Three. He's 85 today.
Elizabeth Berrington - Auntie in The Doctor's Wife - is 52.
Today we remember Carmen Silvera - best know for her role as Rene's wife Edith in sitcom Allo' Allo'!. She played the trio of female characters in The Celestial Toymaker (Clara the Clown, the Queen of Hearts, and Mrs Wiggs), and returned a few years later to play Ruth in Invasion of the Dinosaurs. She passed away on this date in 2002, aged 80.
We also remember Sheila Steafel, who played the younger of the two 'Women in the Woods' in the second Peter Cushing Dalek movie. She died in 2019 aged 84.
