A member of the Cheetah People, who lived on an obscure and very ancient planet. These creatures had originally been humanoid, but the planet caused them to change into a feline form. The behaviour of the Cheetah People in turn influenced the planet - to the extent that it started breaking up when they fought with each other.
Whilst on a hunt on Earth Karra transported the Doctor's companion Ace to the planet. A strange bond formed between them, with Karra sparing Ace's life, and she then helping the injured Cheetah person later. Perhaps Karra recognised something of herself in the young Earth woman, and Ace did fall under the influence of the planet sooner than her companions.
After Ace had transported herself and her friends back to Earth, Karra followed. When she confronted the Master, who had previously held some sway over her people, he stabbed and fatally wounded her. As she died, she reverted to her original human form.
- Bowerman spends most of her time in the Big Finish studios, playing various roles as well as directing some productions.
