Joseph C was the consort of Helen A, ruler of the Earth colony world of Terra Alpha. He had little interest in politics and the work of his wife to make the planet a permanently happy place.
When her regime was brought down by the Doctor, Joseph C ran off with his friend Gilbert M in her escape ship to start a new life away from her domineering influence.
Played by: Ronald Fraser. Appearances: The Happiness Patrol (1988).
- Joseph C was based on Denis Thatcher, husband of UK PM Margaret. A popular image of him was as a hen-pecked husband as she was such a strong personality.
- Fraser was a veteran character actor, best known for comedies. His film career stretched from 1957 to 1993, and TV appearances ranged from 1954 to 1996.
