Today we wish Greg Austin a happy 30th birthday. He played Charlie, the male lead in the spin-off series Class. This series promised a lot, and mostly delivered, but the BBC's attitude towards it was simply atrocious.
He shares his birthday with Julia "Benni!!!" Foster (Orphan 55), who turns 79.
We also remember actor Edwin Richfield, who featured twice in the series. The first was as Captain Hart in The Sea Devils, and the other occasion was when he was buried under mask and costume as Mestor, leader of the Gastropods, in The Twin Dilemma.
He died on this date in 1990, aged 68.
We also remember Terence Bayler, who played Yendom in The Ark, and Major Barrington in The War Games.
Bayler is best know for his appearance in Monty Python's The Life of Brian. He's the guy who declares "I'm Brian. And so's my wife".
He was Leggy Mountbatten, a member of Beatles spoof The Rutles, and also featured in several Python related comedy series and movies. He passed away in 2016, aged 86.
