After such a quiet day yesterday, birthdays abound today - starting with the Seventh Doctor and Ace.
Sylvester McCoy turns 79, and Sophie Aldred is 60.
Their co-star in Survival, Anthony Ainley, would have been 90 today. He died in 2004, aged 71.
They all share their birthday with:
Andrew Garfield (Daleks in Manhattan / Evolution of the Daleks, as well as a cinematic Spiderman) is 39;
David Walliams (The God Complex) is 51;
Dalek operator Barnaby Edwards is 53;
Matthew Chambers (Korwen in 42) is 54;
James Marsters (Torchwood's Captain John and Spike from Buffy / Angel) is 60;
and John Davies, director of The Macra Terror, is 88 today.
Today would also have seen the birthdays of Andre Morell (Marshal Tavannes in The Massacre, and my favourite Quatermass) - died 1978, aged 69;
Bernard Archard (Power of the Daleks and Pyramids of Mars) - died 2008, aged 91;
and Michael Godfrey (Captain Pike in The Smugglers) - died 1977, aged 59.
