Today we wish director Rachel Talalay a very happy 64th birthday.
She first came on board the series to helm Dark Water / Death in Heaven, after which she directed the next two series finales - Heaven Sent / Hell Bent and World Enough and Time / The Doctor Falls. She then worked on the final Capaldi / Steven Moffat story Twice Upon A Time.
For Series 8 she had also directed Missy sequences which were then cut into Deep Breath and Into the Dalek.
She did not work on any of the Chris Chibnall episodes but we know that she is back on the series now that he has gone. She has definitely directed one of the 60th Anniversary Specials as she was spotted at Camden Market with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. She may well also be directing a second one. (A third is being directed by Chanya Button - at least her clapperboard said it was "Ep.3", and Series 14 doesn't start filming until November).
Rachel shares her birthday with Janet Henfrey, who played Miss Hardaker in The Curse of Fenric, and Mrs Pitt in Mummy on the Orient Express. She is 87 today.
