Today we wish character actor Vernon Dobtcheff a happy 88th birthday.
He played the Chief Scientist in The War Games. He was also the first person to name the Doctor's race as Time Lords on screen.
Early in Part Six his character is talking with the alien Security Chief and says (of the War Chief):
"Are you suggesting he's bringing in his own people, the Time Lords?".
It's an almost throwaway line, which many viewers might not have even noticed.
