Marco Polo's epic journey arrived at The Wall of Lies today in 1964. The middle episode of the serial, this is the one for which there are no telesnaps, as it had a different director (John Crockett, instead of Waris Hussein).
Another seven-parter - The Silurians - reached it conclusion in 1970. The man who composed the music for this story was Carey Blyton. Today would have been his 90th birthday.
Time was running out for the Fourth Doctor in 1981, with the penultimate instalment of Logopolis.
Today is also Eleanor Bron's birthday. She is 84. I recently featured one of her characters - Kara - in my A-Z posts. That was an appearance in Revelation of the Daleks. Prior to that she had featured alongside John Cleese in a cameo role in City of Death. The latter story featured Pamela Stirling as the Louvre tour guide. She would have been 102 today.
