Cheryl Hall, who played Shirna in Carnival of Monsters, is 72 today. Vorg and Shirna were another of the Robert Holmes double acts.
She is best known for playing Wolfie Smith's long-suffering girlfriend in the sitcom Citizen Smith. She was married to Wolfie actor Robert Lindsay for a number of years. On leaving the acting world, she became a Labour councillor with Kent County Council, and stood as an MP for Canterbury in the 1997 General Election.
She shares her birthday with Pippa Bennett-Warner, who portrayed face-changing Saibra in Time Heist. She turns 34 today.
