The Sea Beggar, which was the second instalment of The Massacre, referred to Admiral De Coligny, a leader of Paris' Huguenot community. The name was used as a codeword by those out to assassinate him. The episode made its debut today in 1966.
The Curse of Peladon moved on to its third episode today in 1972.
Finally, in 1977, The Robots of Death also arrived at its third episode.
Today we wish Nabil Shaban a very happy birthday. He is 69 today. Shaban played the comically villainous Sil in two Colin Baker stories - Vengeance on Varos and Mindwarp (the second section of Trial of a Time Lord). He has proposed himself for the roles of both the Doctor and the Master in the past.
He recently reprised Sil for an independent production - Sil and the Devil Seeds of Arodor.
