The TARDIS crew, the Moroks and the Xerons were all engaged in The Search today in 1965 - the third instalment of The Space Museum. It was recorded on a single evening in Television Centre Studio 4.
In 1971, Colony in Space reached its fifth episode. This was actually filmed in a clay pit, rather than a conventional rock quarry.
The Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory encountered The Vampires of Venice in 2010. This was Matt Smith's first venture to a foreign filming location for the series. Croatia also doubled up as the South of France for the later Vincent Van Gogh episode.
