"Kokleda, partha, mennin klatch...". Words to soothe a savage creature such as Aggedor, royal beast of the planet Peladon.
The Doctor employed them to win over the beast in The Curse of Peladon, which reached its fourth and final episode today in 1972.
Also concluding with its fourth episode on this date was The Robots of Death, in 1977.
Further back, however, we had Priest of Death - which might have described Peladon's Hepesh, but was actually a reference to the Abbot of Amboise, who was the First Doctor's nasty double. This episode, first shown in 1966, was the third instalment of The Massacre.
