History was made today in 1968 when a soldier by the name of Lethbridge-Stewart first encountered the Doctor. This was in Part Three of The Web of Fear - currently still missing from the archives.
This was not the first meeting with the Brigadier, however. This was a Regular Army Colonel - a guest cast member - whom the Doctor met, who was as much a suspect of being the host for the Great Intelligence as anyone else.
In 1973 Carnival of Monsters concluded with its fourth episode.
Lastly, the Key to Time season approached its conclusion with Part Five of The Armageddon Factor today in 1979.
