That Was The Week That Was 2.12.12
Just a brief post tonight as I am a wee bit under the weather. This past week has seen the release of the movie-style poster for the Christmas Special, as well as a new image of the titular monsters. A couple of listings magazines have already featured the programme on their covers. The BBC have begun their advent calendar (as have lots of other people). Not to be outdone, I will be featuring a short Christmas related post each day starting from Monday.
Personal highlight of the week was my visit to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff. Do have a look at my post about it from yesterday.
I understand that Baker, C, has been voted off that rubbishy reality show. To be kicked out first has a certain cache, and obviously to win gives a struggling career a bit of a boost - but to go in the middle does you no favours at all. Whilst he is headed for provincial panto, his successor was in New Zealand attending the première of The Hobbit, in which he plays a wizard.
Congratulations were due to Karen Gillan this week, as she celebrated her 25th birthday, and also to Russell T Davies who got married to his long term partner, Andrew Smith.
This coming week, I am looking forward to the release on DVD of Dr Faustus, with Arthur Darvill, and on Tuesday we should learn the transmission time for The Snowmen.
