As well as another underwhelming finale from RTD2 we also got our first look at the forthcoming UNIT-based spin-off last night. Ever since it was first rumoured it was always assumed that this would feature Sea Devils, and as they only featured as recently as 2022 looking very similar to their original classic design, many of us assumed that they would remain faithful to this in the spin-off. However, if the trailer is anything to go by then they've come up with a much more humanised version, as Moffat did with the Silurians back in 2010. The images we got last night make them look more like Atlantean Fish People than Sea Devils.
Couldn't really tell that much about it from what we saw.
We know that this will run to five episodes (from the deal made with Disney+) and it has been suggested that it might be shown over five consecutive nights, just as Torchwood: Children of Earth was run.
