Today, in 1968, the Doctor met the Brigadier for the very first time. Yes, he was only a Colonel in The Web of Fear, and UNIT did not yet exist, but in Part Two of The Invasion Nicholas Courtney appears as the Brigadier, commanding the British contingent of UNIT, for the very first time. The future Sergeant Benton was in last week's episode, though we didn't know who he was then.
Also on this day, Delta and the Bannermen reached its second episode in 1987, as did The Happiness Patrol in 1988.
The concluding episode of SJA: Lost in Time was also first broadcast, in 2010.
