It's Frontier in Space Day again today - with one of its episodes being the only Doctor Who ever to be broadcast on this date. It was the mid-point today in 1973 - Episode Three - which climaxed with the Doctor attempting to escape from a lunar penal colony. The Master had also now appeared, in what would be Roger Delgado's final story.
In 2010 the Radio Times produced the lavish The Companions publication. Chang Lee from the 1996 movie wasn't included. He has just as big a part to play in the proceedings as Grace Holloway, who is counted as a companion. Is it because Chang Lee spends a bit of time as the Master's companion, rather than as the Doctor's? He's there at the end helping the Doctor the same as Grace. He travels in the TARDIS just as much as Grace. I'd argue that if she counts then he should too.
Anywhos, it's Yee Jee Tso's birthday today. He turns 47.
He shares his birthday with Lesley Dunlop, who featured in both Frontios and The Happiness Patrol. She is 66.
Another birthday would have been the late Stewart Bevan's 74th.
