It has been reported that writer Chris Boucher has died.
He wrote The Face of Evil, Robots of Death and Image of the Fendahl, and was the creator of companion Leela. When David Maloney attempted to lure Robert Holmes to the script editor chair on Blake's 7, he declined but proposed Boucher instead. As well as script editing he wrote a number of episodes. He later created the sci-fi detective drama Star Cops, which sadly only lasted a single season.
Boucher wrote a couple of novels based on Robots of Death, which led on to the Kaldor City range of novels and audios, which featured crossovers between Robots and Blake's 7.
It was Kaldor City News which broke the news of his death, which occurred at some point this morning.
