So Russell T Davies hinted that there might be more news today, and it has just been announced that transgender actor Yasmin Finney will be appearing as the new companion next year. The odd thing is that they will be called Rose - Rose Tyler...
I doubt very much that RTD is planning a reboot, so presumably this is some sort of alternative timeline Rose perhaps?
(Update: Rumour doing the rounds - she's Donna's daughter, named after the original Rose).
Additional to the reported filming at Camden this afternoon, onlookers reported that the TARDIS prop was not the Eccleston / Tennant one but the Whittaker one. Also on location was Bernard Cribbins, back as Wilf Mott. He was filmed being pushed in a wheelchair by Tennant. The director appeared to be Rachel Talalay, who last worked on the series during Steven Moffat's time as show-runner.
