A young man from Perivale in West London, who was transported to the planet of the Cheetah People to be hunted by its inhabitants. He was an acquaintance of the Doctor's companion Ace. He had managed to avoid capture, along with another of Ace's friends named Shreela and a boy named Derek.
Ace joined the group when she was also transported. The planet had a symbiotic relationship with its inhabitants, causing them to gradually transform into Cheetah People themselves. As they lost their humanity they grew more feral.
Possessing a ruthless streak already, Midge was quickly overcome by the planet's influence. He killed one of the Cheetah People, accelerating his transformation. He developed glowing yellow eyes and fangs. It transpired that those infected by the planet gained the power to teleport themselves to and from it at will, and the Master used Midge to escape to Perivale. There, he manipulated the young man and used him as a weapon. Midge was promised power and was rewarded with new clothes and an expensive motorbike, stolen from local shops. He also killed his little sister's pet cat as his savage tendencies grew.
When the Doctor arrived, using a transforming Ace, the Master used Midge to try to kill him. The youth drove his motorbike at the Doctor, who had taken to another bike, in a form of joust. The collision killed Midge, who was abandoned by the Master as he died.
