F is for... Farrell, Rex

Weak-willed son of businessman John Farrell, owner of a small but successful plastics firm. When John retired, he put Rex in charge - but left behind his friend and production manager McDermott to keep an eye on the young man. Rex wasn't as shrewd as his father, and the company began to lose business. This made it the ideal choice of base for the Master, who had arrived on Earth to assist the Nestene Consciousness in its second invasion attempt. The Master hardly had to use his hypnotic skills to win the young man over. When McDermott threatened to interfere, the Master had him killed - smothered in a plastic chair. Rex registered no emotion at the death of the family friend he had just witnessed, simply asking his secretary to prepare the necessary paperwork to terminate his employment. John Farrell decided to return and take back control of the company, unhappy at the way his son had been running things. The Master had him killed as well - throttled by a Nestene plastic doll. Away from the Master's influence, however, Rex began to lose his nerve - resulting in an Auton having to knock him out to prevent his running away.
After the Nestenes had been defeated, the Master hypnotised Rex into attacking the Doctor whilst wearing a mask of his features. This was to decoy UNIT so that he could escape. Captain Yates shot the disguised Rex dead.
